Consulting ServicesFundraisingThe overall decline in sources of philanthropic, state and federal resources combined with stiffer criteria from donors and a push towards performance-based measurement outcomes has resulted in increased competition for funding. These and other types of challenges have placed many nonprofit organizations under extreme pressure to continue providing quality services to their constituents. ICS consulting services addresses these common challenges in a strategic way. Our strategy encompasses a four-part approach to successful and sustainable fundraising. It entails:
Program Development and EvaluationProvides organizations with effective planning for all areas of Program Development including conceptualizing, forecasting, setting goals and objectives, and determining course of action. ICS conducts a fit-to-mission analysis to determine whether the new program concept fits within the mission of the organization. This fit-to-mission analysis is a thorough assessment of the organization’s capacity and mission. It outlines all the various resources and skill levels of the organization’s staff and makes sound recommendations on how to move forward. Evaluate the economic vitality of economic development project. ICS recognizes the important connection between program development and evaluation. Based on this recognition, ICS offers a variety of creative strategies for accurately evaluating program outcomes. Technical AssistanceICS conducts technical assistance to housing and community development organizations in the areas of neighborhood economic development, affordable housing, downtown revitalization, community organizing, and other economic development initiatives aimed at reducing poverty and narrowing the economic divide between races. Additionally, ICS produces strategies geared toward increasing organizations' capacities to undertake community economic development projects. Education and TrainingICS provides trainings primarily to community development practitioners who want to learn how to create a community economic development (CED) initiative and also learn more about the differences between traditional economic development and community economic development practices. Our trainings describe traditional economic development as one that infuses capital from outside of the community, applies a top-down approach to development and measures economic growth in terms of per capita income and gross national product. In contrast, community economic development builds wealth within the community by utilizing its social, cultural and political resources; whereby changing the economic status of residents residing in the community. The training is design to educate practitioners about this kind of difference and best community economic development initiatives. Meeting FacilitationICS will work with you to facilitate anc convene successful meetings and other kinds of group events.
